JCN is open all year round and only closes on Bank Holidays and the days between Christmas and New Year.
We are open from 8.30am until 5.30pm.
JCN is registered with Ofsted for a maximum of 57 children, which is divided into 4 rooms as follows:
Under Two's: 3 months – 2 years
Little and Big Explorers: 2 years – 3 years
Pre-School: 3 years - School Leaver

Joint Colleges Nursery Cambridge (JCN) is one of the leading nurseries in the Cambridge area providing childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. We welcome children from all backgrounds and applicants need not be affiliated to the University of Cambridge.
Established in 1980, we have a 46 year history serving families of Cambridge and the surrounding area. Over the years we have won a good reputation for providing high-quality learning experiences in a stimulating and challenging environment.
JCN is organised as a not for profit charity, the nursery is run entirely for the benefit of the children.
JCN is conveniently located, close to the centre of Cambridge on a safe, quiet residential road. We are near to the train station, well served by buses and we hold off street parking for parents and staff.

Joint Colleges Nursery holds 3 generously sized outdoor gardens, equipped with new Astroturf and a range of outdoor resources for gross and fine motor skills such as climbing frames, bikes, a mud kitchen, sand pits, etc. We have our very own woodland area in our largest outdoor garden where we carry out woodland sessions. We prioritise spending time outside, valuing the learning outdoors can bring in exploration, discovery and understanding the world.
