                    Our time at Joint Colleges

Our wonderful family journey with JCN spanned seven and a half years. Our older son Lucas started here when he was about 5 months old, and his brother Benjamin started at the same age three years later. From the beginning, our boys were very happy at JCN, being well looked after by wonderful staff in the baby room, and we as parents felt very relieved and reassured to leave them at nursery, so we could focus on our day-time jobs. Over the years whilst the boys grew older and made their way through toddler and explorer rooms to finally arrive in pre-school, they always really enjoyed going to nursery. The staff put on fabulous activities and encouraged exploring and independent thinking, discussions about endless subjects of a child’s interest (dinosaurs, cars, trains, you name it). The children were always stimulated and excited about their day-time nursery activites. We also thought it was great that good nutritious food was freshly prepared on site, and many a times were told by the boys at home that the nursery version of some dish we prepared was ‘much better and tastier’!

We all as a family had a wonderful time at and with JCN and miss the staff that guided our kids along the way so well over many years a lot!

Thank you, JCN!

I've had a chance to read the OFSTED Report more thoroughly.  You and the team should be very proud of the description of the Nursery's work.  On every aspect relating to the children the narrative is outstanding.  I'd consider the areas for development to hit the 'outstanding' grading as peripheral to what matters day-to-day for the children and their parents.  Certainly in my eyes you run an outstanding setting and everything I've read this morning simply reinforces that view.
