A big thank you…..
…to all parents who attended the BBQ and all the donations we have received for the buffet. The BBQ was very successful and we have made a net profit of £ 268.00 which went towards the purchase of our new Room Dividers.
…to Brent for donating the 1st prize – the digital camera, and to Nick and Tina for donating the 2nd prize – the fruit hamper.
…to all staff for manning stalls and activities and supporting a great BBQ.
What is happening in August?
From August the 2nd Pre-school will be in their previous room next to the Baby milk kitchen and Theresa will be in the main area with her explorers. They will be busy putting up new displays and prepare for new children joining the nursery.
For some explorers it will be no change because they will move into the Pre-school and enjoy being the oldest in the setting.
This year we have been extremely lucky with the weather and we will make use of the lovely summer weather and spend as much time as possible in our garden and visiting the great outdoors.
As you may have already noticed some siblings are staying for extra sessions during the summer holidays. We accommodate this every summer for siblings up to the age of 8. It is great to see them again and the younger siblings feel proud to have their older sister or brother here and the other children enjoy playing with older School children.

At drop off time Lizzie came to me and showed me the jumper she was wearing and she said: “You know my mummy did not buy this jumper. She made it all by herself. She made it with Cotton wool!”

Arrivals and Departures
This month we have to say good bye to a lot of children and we wish Tiana, Yolanda, Laura, Lucas, Audrey, Theodora, Natasha, Ruben, Rocco and Joshua that they all settle well into their reception classes and quickly make new friends. Hopefully they don’t forget us too soon and visit from time to time.
On a happier note we would like to welcome Max and Melker and Elodie who will join Theresa’s Explorers this month. Also we would like to wish a warm welcome to Anna and Antonio who both join the Babyroom.
